  • Using navigation

    Using the navigation bars for Java Coffee & Tea is very simple. Here is the basic layout of a sample page:

    1. Navigation represented by colored buttons labeled 'Coffees', 'Teas', 'Gifts', 'Essentials" and 'Customer Blends' takes you to a corresponding list page. For example, clicking the 'Coffees' button will take you the page with the list of all the coffees. The red button labeled 'Shop' will take you to a page with links to vital website shopping information and hints.

    2. Important links related to the page.

    3. Takes you to a view of your on-line shopping cart if you have items in your cart. Otherwise it directs you to the 'Shop' screen.

    4. Takes you to the checkout log-in screen if you have items in your cart. Otherwise it directs you to the 'Shop' screen.

    5. If shown on a page, takes you to a related link on the Assistance page.

     

    Sorting Coffees, Teas and Customer Blends

    List sorts are made by selecting form the drop down list. Below are examples of the Teas list with different sort sections applied:

    You can filter out different types of teas (and coffees) by using the dropdown list.

     

    Add Product to the Cart

    Shown below are the two basic steps in selecting a Coffee, Tea, or Customer Blend:

    1. Use the mouse to select a variation of the Coffee, Tea or Customer Blend. In this case the user is selecting the Regular, Full Pound bag to add to their cart as highlighted by the green line and the word 'selected' appearing near the price. IMPORTANT: This does not add the product to the cart, only makes a selection.

    2. Select a quantity and grind type (if applicable). When these are set, then you can add the product to the cart by clicking 'Add to cart'.

    If you would like to add multiple variations to the cart. To do so, you must make a new selection from the grid and again choose 'add to cart'.

    3. For Coffee's Only : You can see a graph that shows the acidity and body for the particular coffee.

     

    Updating the Cart

    To remove a product form the cart change it's quantity to 0 (zero). To change the quantity of an item, just type in a new number for the quantity. When you are finished, just press 'update cart'. Changes for multiple items can be done at once. Pressing 'empty cart' will remove all items from your cart.

     

    Creating a New User Account

    Creating a new user account is easy. First, give your e-mail as your username, and confirm your desired password by typing it in twice. If no one has that e-mail listed, that account is open for you to use. The next screen will require basic user information, with required fields highlighted with a red asterisk. Providing credit card information is option, but if you do it will automatically appear when you go to check out. Information, including credit card, can be updated at anytime. Please make sure that the address you provide will match the credit card address you will use. Also, if you change your e-mail address, you can most likely update your username to reflect this change. Click here to review our privacy policy.

     

    Updating A New User Account/Change Username

    Updating a user account is similar to creating a new account. Just fill in the required fields and your finished. While updating your user account you can also change your username to reflect a new e-mail address.

    Beneath the field to change your e-mail, click on the link as shown above. This will open a pop-up window. The first, and only field required is to enter your new e-mail address. After entering your new e-mail address, it will check to see if it is possible to use your new address (it will most likely will be possible). If you are confirmed to make the change, then it will give you the option to make the change.

     

    Shipping Address

    When placing an order you will be given the option to use your billing address for your shipping address.

    Checking the 'use billing address for shipping address' option will automatically copy in your personal information into the the shipping address fields. Also, you must fill in the Credit Card portion of the form to complete the order.

     

    Confirm Cart

    This page allows you a final review of products in the cart, and also to view the shipping and grand total for your order. You can also provide text for a gift card or any comment you wish to provide about your order.

    When you are finished reviewing the page, you may cancel the order, which will empty your cart; or you may finish your order, which will empty your cart as well.
